Jenn Walter
Jenn Walter has been making magazines since she was just old enough to read. She used to drain her parent’s printer of colored ink and steal all the staples, but is eternally grateful to grow up in a family full of crafty nerds who allowed her creativity to thrive. Originally from Detroit, Jenn moved to Milwaukee for college and has been stuck in Wisconsin ever since. You might know her best from her work with Dad Rock Radio, an on-air program she started in memory of her dad, or Discover magazine, a national publication that covers science and tech. But she still has a love for zines, poetry and anything DIY — which is why she’s thrilled to see this project come to life.

Ryan Gonzalez
Born to a a factory and daycare worker in West Allis, WI, Ryan always flirted with writing but didn’t think he came from the right background. He went to study music and psychology at UW-Milwaukee, writing occasionally between lab reports, music history essays, and forming an a cappella group but never feeling completely fulfilled. Drifting around Wisconsin for the past two years after graduation, he took note of how many other adults were just as lost as him. At his lowest point, he found his love for words once again. From realizing the weight our words can carry, Ryan decided to combine his rediscovered love for stories with his desire to help people, creating a zine aimed at helping Midwesterners explore various topics of life.
